Concept
The shape of the curved interior walls were inspired by a paisley pattern. The open plan layout creates an easy flow and circulation when the apartment is opened up and combined into one. The bedroom 2 in the studio area has been isolated by two curved walls and the foyer area has a bespoke, full height feature panels. Considering both apartments are one-bedroom when used individually, the sense of space can be maximize by opening up some walls. Therefore, the door-less walls have been created to separate rooms for privacy, but also to maintain connections with the living rooms at the same time.
The overlapping walls allow sufficient privacy when having visitors. Since there are two entrances to the ensuite, doors are provided for the toilet area. The paisley shape bathroom in the studio has been kept on the amended floor plan to strengthen the circulation in that area.
